Nerinx Hall High School
School Notes Overview:
Nerinx was founded as an independent, private Catholic school in 1924 and continues as such. As a Catholic, college-preparatory high school for women, founded by the Sisters of Loretto, Nerinx Hall High School is grounded in the belief that educated, caring, empowered young women are essential to our world. Thus, we have three primary concerns. We strive to help each young woman know herself and her world. We strive to offer her a loving community of faith that fosters individual gifts, nurtures the spirit alive in each person, and reveals the world as a place where hope may live. And we strive to call each young woman to deliberate, Christian action in her world. We believe that knowledge of self develops as each student experiences her own powers of reason, imagination, intuititon, physical skill and endurance, and as she grows in her relationship with God. Thus we try to provide each student with solid experiences that will assist her in becoming a more fully integrated person who has the self-assurance, flexibility, and creativity needed to face her rapidly changing world....
