School Notes Overview:
Our Lady of Lourdes School was established in 1959 to provide Catholic education to the children in the Montclair area. Four sisters belonging to the Presentation Congregation came from Ireland to staff the school. On opening day, the enrollment was 270 students in grades one through six. Our Lady of Lourdes School is a Catholic community where faith is an integral part of the schoolís culture and where all the school community shares the Christian vision. Our students are guided on a path of spiritual, academic, and social development taught in the light of the Gospel. Our Lady of Lourdes School was established in 1959 to provide Catholic education to the children in the Montclair area. Our Lady of Lourdes School continually strives for excellence, and its instructional program has strong Catholic orientation. Dedicated professional administration and faculty, interested parents, and eager students have been the key factors in the successful history of Our Lady of Lourdes School. The Mission of Our Lady of Lourdes school is to create a caring, productive environment, and to provide an educational program which will prepare the child for life, both present and future - spiritually, emotionally, socially, culturally, physically and aesthetically.
