The mission of Our Lady of Lourdes School is to provide an environment conducive to the development of self-discipline and self-motivation in the pursuit of human excellence. The students will learn the message of Christ and His Church and experience the call to a life of faith in God and service to others. Our Lady of Lourdes will provide excellent educational opportunities with special emphasis on the religious and social development needed to prepare students for the advancement to the secondary level. The philosophy of Our Lady of Lourdes School community embodies the following: we accept that all children are a unique creation of God with spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social needs. We are in partnership with the parents as first educators of their children. As a Catholic school, we are in communion with the Bishop, parish faith community and its leadership; each person has the right and the responsibility to learn and to live the teachings of Jesus. We support and encourage each other to grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially; we seek to develop the values that enable our students to respond appropriately to contemporary global, social, and moral issues. we endeavor to develop inquiring, concerned, and critical minds; we stress through our religious education the importance to our students to become fully informed Christians, through the teachings of the Catholic Faith; and Our Lady of Lourdes School provides an environment of faith and support in which students of all ethnic backgrounds may grow in self-understanding, in their relationship to God, and in service to others. ...read more
