School Notes Overview: |
"At, Sacred Heart, we are called to live the Gospel message through the formation of a Christian community that is open, encouraging, evangelizing and affirming. As members of the Universal Church, we are challenged to become active disciples who continue to ""put on Christ"" through continuing faith development. We are called to strive through the renewal of our minds and hearts to actively love the Lord and our neighbor. Our spiritual growth is to be nourished in private prayer and devotion, reaching its finest expression in our liturgical acts of worship.
As followers of Christ, we must witness our Faith to the world through concern for and service to others. In our response to others in need we become partners in the universal call of Christ that all might become one. Sacred Heart offers kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, and a program for three year olds. Both full day and half day sessions are offered for kindergarten students. Pre-kindergarten children have the option of attending morning, afternoon, or an extended day (full-time) class. In Conjunction with the Department of Special Education, Sacred Heart maintains classrooms in various parochial schools for the purpose of educating children who have special learning needs. Classes are not graded, teaching is individualized, and the curriculum is adjusted to provide a balanced program of spiritual, academic, social, and personal experiences." ...read more
