School Notes Overview: |
At Villa Di Maria Montessori Center children are introduced to a wide variety of activities and material to assist in the total development of the child, which cultivates his own desire to learn. Students are allowed to work at their own pace and to make choices in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Maintaining the same directress and environment for three years nurtures security, builds confidence and provides a framework in which intellectual and social discipline go hand in hand. The curriculum encompasses the traditional subjects of reading, writing, math, science and history. Additional subjects taught are music, art, drama, Spanish and Latin. Our campus is used for study, physical education and inspiration. These elements provide the student with outlets for intellectual and social growth. ...read more
