The Valkyries may have gone into last week's District 7B Volleyball Tournament in Troy as regular season co-champions with Eureka, but they emerged from the tournament on top and all alone.

PEDER HAROLD ESPESETH JR. Pete had fought colon cancer since it was discovered in October of 2003. He was treated throughout 2004. Until it recurred in 2007 he continued to go around the world on short-term mission trips, hunt, fish and fulfilled a long-time ambition to “shoot a hippo.”

The annual Roosevelt Park Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 12. Children 12 years old and younger are invited to come to the park and search for eggs filled with prizes. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance at the free, volunteer- and donation-supported event.
