PRINCETON — Bureau County school children and staff can be glad they don’t live in Omaha, Neb. On March 17, the St. Paul Lutheran School in Omaha had to shut its doors for the day because of the high outbreak of flu. Nearly 20 percent of its 90 students were home with the flu, making March 17 the first “Flu Day” in the school’s history.

OMAHA — The spread of the flu virus has forced an Omaha school to shut down. Officials say St. Paul Lutheran School in midtown Omaha canceled classes Tuesday after about 20 students called in sick or had to go home early.
