![](http://i.ytimg.com/vi/e9nz_7jDEBE/default.jpg "On Nov 18th, to help raise awareness in matters of health and specifically diabetes, Asociatia "Family Services"-Bucharest [FSA] organized an event at the "Marie Curie" pediatric hospital in Bucharest, Romania. The program was a team effort with the medical staff of "Marie Curie" Hospital, the Institute of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases "Prof. Dr. NC Paulescu", and the active participation of the local business community. Close to 60 children with diabetes attended together with their parents. The children are under the care and monitoring of the "Marie Curie" Hospital. It was easy to notice the warm bond which existed between the children and the medical professionals from the hospital, and the love and care which Dr. Mihaela Mihu and her staff manifested towards the diabetic children was not only very outstanding, but also admirable and heartwarming. During this special event, the children enjoyed a number of treats and surprises. The "No Limits" children's dance troupe brought a special touch of joy to the event. "La Bunica in Ograda" puppet theater play, performed by "Zburdalici", was not only funny but taught the important lesson on being cheerful helpers. The children had a fun time interacting with the clowns and enjoying the colorful balloons. There was a special gift bag for each child containing an assortment of useful and fun items and snacks.
