The Children's House is an independent, co-educational school in Rye, New Hampshire that serves 60 of children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years.
Our programs are carefully designed within the tradition of Maria Montessori and strive to create an enriching early educational experience for young children.
Founded in 1988, The Children's House has large sunlit classrooms, a kitchen, observation windows, two fully equipped play areas, a garden, and is within convenient driving distance to any town in the Seacoast area.
The Children's House is staffed by eight qualified teachers and two directors.
The school also strongly benefits from the talented, energetic efforts of our parent volunteers.
The Montessori philosophy holds that the goal of the educational process is to assist each child in developing his or her innate potential to the fullest.
In order to develop their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual capacities, the child must have freedom freedom achieved through order and self discipline.
