School Notes Overview: |
Exeter Day School, established and incorporated in 1936, is a non-profit school for 3-6 year olds. The philosophy of the Day School reflects the belief that the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social areas of development are integrated in the effort to help the child become a whole person. A healthy blending of these three areas will enable the child to face bigger challenges with ease and intelligence. The school encourages the child to develop and keep with him or her enjoyment of learning, expressed through constant curiosity and the knowledge and appreciation of his or her own talents as well as those of others. Through the disciplines of self-control, listening habits, the ability to follow directions, patience and the satisfaction of accomplishment, the child should be able to approach life with the confidence and feeling of self worth. Recognizing the fact that each child develops at a different pace, the school believes in adapting to the needs of the individual child. ...read more
