Calais provides a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging environment in which young people learn to focus on their subject matter while developing new behaviors and academic strategies in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

*Behavior Modification Programs that encourage students to emply appopriate social problem solving and assertiveness skills

*A Cognitive/Behavorial Counseling team that provids emotional support and cognitive strategies for dealing with stressful issues and situations

*Learning Consultants who provides IEP supervision and consultations with teachers and child study teams to ensure the use of individualize and differentiated intruction

*Speech and Language specialists to address the basic skills of language and social skills development

*Reading Specialists to assist students with specific reading difficulties

*Career and Technical Education Programs that provide career path training

*A Transition Education Program to provide career exploration opportunities

*Full and Half-Day Pre School Programs for 3 & 4 Year Olds with Special Needs

* A 12+ Program for those students who need the gift of more time

* Animal Assisted Therapy
