On October 12(Columbus Day) at 5:30pm DePaul Catholic will host our first annual 5K road race The USATF certified course winds through scenic Wayne New Jersey. All proceeds from the 5K will go to the DePaul Catholic Scholarship Fund. Senior Shakim Phillips '2010 from DePaul Catholic High School has verbally committed to Boston College to play football. The outstanding student- athlete made his decision public this past Monday as he follows in the footsteps of past Spartans, Ted Gaffney'82 and Todd McNiff '98 who also chose Boston College for their college football career. - Grateful sports star returns old favor (The Record and Herald News)
