Glenview Academy

24 Dwight Pl, Fairfield, NJ, 07004-0700
Established in 1985, Glenview Academy is a state approved, non-sectarian, private day school for boys and girls in grades K through 7 who have behaviorally-based or autism spectrum educational disabilities that cannot be adequately addressed in the public schools. Glenview's sister school The Gramon School provides similar educational and psychological services for students in grades 7 through 12. Glenview Academy enables our students to develop academically, socially, emotionally and behaviorally. We foster student independence, self-direction and self-actualization and prepare our students to fulfill their potential with minimal support systems. We also promote respect for self and others, and guide our students to become as responsible, adaptable and productive as possible at school, at home and in their communities. Each class is staffed by a certified special education teacher and at least two paraprofessionals. These personnel meet as a team with social workers; reading, art and physical education teachers; and administrators to review each student's academic and behavioral progress.
