The mission of Lacordaire Academy is to provide a Catholic college preparatory education in the Dominican tradition for the total growth of young women, within a nurturing atmosphere. As a small, Catholic, private college-prep school for young women, Lacordaire encourages each girl to recognize her individual giftedness and to develop it creatively within an environment which acknowledges every aspect of her being. The school, is an extension of the home and a sharer along with the Church and civil authority in the educational formation of the person. Lacordaire Academy recognizes the need to aid the student in formulating a sense of personal responsibility, social awareness, and those enduring values by which she can shape her present and future life.
