A once-in-a-generation ritual took place in Union City this morning as more than 100 ultra-Orthodox Hasidic men gathered at the Mesivta Sanz religious school for Birkat Hachama, a blessing recited once every 28 years when the sun occupies the same position as they believe it did during creation.
