The veterans gathered in the Verona Civic Center just before 11 a.m. Three World War II vets found their seats on folding chairs on the steps of town hall. Our Lady of the Lake School will hold a clothing drive on from 1 to 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23; 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25. Proceeds will support the school’s programs. - Reilly scholarship fund raiser Sunday in Verona (Cedar Grove/Verona Observers)

A fundraiser to benefit a scholarship given in memory of Meghan and Kelly Reilly will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at Our Lady of the Lake School Auditorium, Lakeside and Montrose Avenues, Verona. The girls were students of the school who lost their lives in a tragic incident on June 21, 2007.
