The Diocese of Metuchen will honor two outstanding educators at the Spotlight on Catholic Education Dinner to be held April 22 at the Pines Manor, Edison. The Diocese of Metuchen's Distinguished Educator Award will be given to Mercy Sister Nadine Boyle, principal of Sacred Heart School, South Plainfield, and Gregory Johnson, physical education teacher at St. - Students send packages to local Marine in Iraq (Suburban)

SAYREVILLE — Students at Our Lady of Victories School recently sent care packages and letters to U.S. Marine Cpl. Carlos "Speedy" Gonzalez, a Middlesex County native serving in Iraq. Gonzalez, 26, of Perth Amboy, is on his second tour of duty there with the 2nd Battalion 25th Marines G Company 1st Platoon, which is based out of Picatinny Arsenal in Dover.
