Becton's Athletic Director Jim Bononno recalls playing a crossover football game against Emerson in 2004 when one of their players was complaining of stomach pains. The team's trainer was able to identify by the symptoms and that it was something serious.

Shannon Evans, a 14-year-old freshman at Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington hit the big time on NBC’s Kids Read contest after submitting a review of “Does my head look big in this?” the first novel released in 2005 by author Randa Abdel-Fattah.
