Seashore School
School Notes Overview:
At The Seashore School, we have been giving children the strongest start for more than 30 years. Our school is designed to make learning fun, broaden horizons, build confidence and help children develop the skills needed to excel academically, athletically and socially. From preschool through eighth grade, we offer advanced, challenging, diversified curriculums that include foreign language, computers, science lab, music, art, physical education and year-round swim lessons. We also offer a School of Performing Arts for aspiring young actors who want to develop drama, singing and dance techniques needed to put on full-scale productions. Our approach to education is so succesful, students perform a grade above their peers, score in the top percent of standardized exams, are recognized nationally for academic achievement and gain acceptance into the high schools of their choice -- including magnet academies. ...

School Notes:
- We are the only school that offers an entire campus for preschool and another for pre-kindergarten with bright classrooms, computer and science labs, indoor heated pools, gyms and playgrounds.
- Our Full-Day Kindergarten includes extras most schools do not offer at this level like foreign language, hands-on experiments in our science lab, computer lab, year-round swim lessons and an advanced reading program with proven results. By mid year most children read on their own and by the end of the year can recognize nearly 1,000 words.
- We are also opening a School of Performing Arts for students at the elementary and intermediate level. In addition to their academic curriculum, aspiring young actors will take drama, dance and singing lessons needed to put on professional full-scale productions. As part of their program they will go to Broadway plays and take workshops with stars in the shows they see.
