School Notes Overview:

St. Joseph the Carpenter School is a Christ- Centered Zone. When you enter our school, you immediately feel His presence. We recognize that Christ dwells in all people and strive to treat each other justly. Mass as a school community, participation in many faithfilled activities such as giving to the poor, food drives, praying the rosary together, outreach to our homebound parishioners and praying for school families each day are also some examples of ways we live our faith. The Mission of St. Joseph the Carpenter School is to provide a caring supportive community which nurtures the individual needs of all its students. While keeping pace with the educational, spiritual, social and physical development of our students, we strive to bring them to their fullest potential as human beings and as children of God. Our students are urged to fully appreciate their own worth and value as a unique creation of God. Likewise, they are though awareness of the needs of others and are motivated to show respect for the rights of others and to actively serve the human community. St. Joseph the Carpenter School, therefore, celebrates all races, colors, national religions and ethnic origins of the families in our school community. All rights, privileges, programs and activities are afforded to all students equally. While a primary goal of St. Joseph the Carpenter School is academic excellence, the curriculum and all other programs of the school exist within the framework of the Catholic Church. We follow the curriculum guidelines promulgated by the Archdiocese of Newark which meets the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards. We follow the Archdiocese of Newark Guidelines on grading and curriculum expectations.
