The First Class
School Notes Overview:
As you enter the snugly warm environment of The First Class, we invite you to return just a little bit to your own childhood. Remember that world of tracing shadows on the wall, of the wonder of clouds, of skipping over cracks on pavement? Or how about those cozy curl-up corners, and whispering secrets to best friends? Today the world is a little bit different, but childhood isn't. As you are escorted through The First Class we invite you and your child to join us in the wonderful world of children. The First Class respects the theory that early childhood is the time of basic personality development. Your child is a person, with special characteristics of his or her own. We emphasize our concentration on the positive characteristics of each First Class Child. Our program has been designed so that children can learn and grow as individuals beginning at infancy. This is accomplished through a format of discovery and exploration, stimulated by socialization, high quality materials, equipment, and staff. The First Class wants each child to like him/herself, and to grow in a positive direction. At The First Class we are less concerned with the child having a visible product at the end of each day to take home, than in his or her having had a productive day, freely and imaginatively using the materials available, unconcerned about having something to show. The First Class is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Youth and Family Services. We are a Non-Public School registered in the state of New Jersey. We work directly with the MCESC and the Board of Education....
