School Notes Overview:
The purpose of Cornerstone Christian School is to meet the needs of the students by providing those required subjects that are taught at the appropriate grade level. The student will be exposed to an integrated view of life with all its possibilities and challenges, to thereby enable the students to use wisely his acquired knowledge in an effective way, as he meets all the problems and perplexities of our modern life. A child’s training in the early years is essential to the establishment of good habits of study and conduct, of attitudes, of ideas, of honesty, of character, and of obedience to and reverence for God and established authority. The Christian school does not take the place of Home, rather is an extension of the training program begun at home. Parents are accountable to God for the spiritual, intellectual, and moral growth of their children. The aim then, at Cornerstone, is to provide the educational environment that may fully equip the child in knowledge, attitude, and action to live a faithful Christian life within the structure of his community. For such a challenging task as this, students must be taught basic skills, such as reading, writing and arithmetic as well as other related subjects. We feel that they must also be taught discipline, belief in God and a love for people and country.
