The Whitestone School for Child Deveopment is a special education pre-school program for children from 2.9 - 5 years of age for children with developmental delays. The school will be celebrating 25 years of serving children and their families throughout the City of New York. Our staff is licensed by the NYS Education Department.   • The Whitestone School For Child Development is committed to providing the highest quality service to children and their families. Our ultimate goal is to help each child reach his/her fullest potential. We accomplish this through education and therapeutic services in a caring environment. Family involvement is vital to your child's success. Our staff of highly trained professionals will coordinate their efforts with the families, in order to integrate your child's education with his/her home life. Working together will maximize your child's potential for personal growth and development. A program designed for developmentally delayed children ages three - five. All services are provided at our school. The center based program consists of daily half or full day classes in either a ten or twelve month program. Classes are in groups of 8 to 12 children and staffed with a N.Y.S. certified teacher and two assistants. Individual programs are established for each child based on developmental needs. Therapeutic services including Speech, O.T., P .T. and counseling are provided according to the child's Individual Educational Plan.
