10 Prince St, Rochester, NY, 14607-0146
Cobblestone, founded in 1983, offers a full-day program and after-school care for children between the ages of 4 and 14, grades pre-kindergarten through eighth. Cobblestone School provides a supportive, nurturing environment, responsive to children's social, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and ethical development. The interdisciplinary curriculum integrates academic and personal experience to promote a desire to learn, a respect for and appreciation of diversity, an understanding of the democratic process, and a strong sense of community. The heart of the difference resides in the development of our curriculum. At Cobblestone, themes for study which integrate reading, writing, math, social studies, scientific inquiry and artistic expression evolve out of children's questions, interests and experiences.
