The Park Slope North Child Development Center (Helen Owen Carey Child Development Center) has been serving families since 1974.  The program provides early education for children from ages 2 to 4.  We believe children learn best when they are taught by qualified teachers in a welcoming and challenging learning environment.  We use a play-based curriculum wherein children can learn through hands-on activities which give them opportunities to develop many skills.

Meals are prepared in our on-site kitchen.  We have two on-site playgrounds and a children's garden.  We have a very diverse population of families-- both socio-economically diverse as well as culturally diverse.  This gives families and children opportunities to interact with people from many different backgrounds and lends a richness to our learning community.
