Swine flu fears continued to tighten their grip around the city as of press time Wednesday afternoon, May 20, as increasingly worried parents and local lawmakers pressed for more school closings. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, 28 public and private schools throughout the city have been closed due to swine flu fears.

Here is the current list of schools, public and private, in the CBS 2 viewing area, that have announced they will close their doors due to a significant number of students or faculty with flu-like symptoms. Not all schools have students confirmed to have the swine flu, however, they are shutting down as a precaution.
