School Notes Overview: |
Dr. Montessori observed that no two children learn at the same pace or necessarily in the same way. She developed a method of teaching children individually and through small groups to let students excel to their highest potential in every area of the curriculum.
The result is more motivated and enthusiastic students who typicallly work one to two years ahead of grade level. When not working with a teacher, students work independantly, interdependently, or collaboratevely on multi-discipline projects that afford an abundance of hands-on learning experiences. Our teachers role is not so much to teach but to direct, guide and mentor and to ask questions that challenge and inspire higher level thinking. ...read more
