Immaculate Conception School
School Notes Overview:
Immaculate Conception School was established in 1907 in Stapleton, formerly known as Rocky Hollow, to provide Catholic education for the children of Irish and German immigrants living in the area. The first school was a wooden structure, previously used as the rectory, at 121 Targee Street. In 1927, construction of the present school was begun. The building was completed in June, 1928. Since then, Immaculate Conception School has been a vital part of the Stapleton community. In addition to providing an outstanding education, the school became a focal point for neighborhood sports teams and social activities. Today we have a multicultural student body that enriches each child’s educational experience. At Immaculate Conception School we celebrate diversity and practice respect and tolerance for all. Immaculate Conception school exists to meet the spiritual, academic, and social needs of our children, so that they may grow into well-formed, compassionate, tolerant, and creative individuals. We strive to develop in each child a positive self-awareness, knowledge of the Catholic faith and an understanding of the surrounding world. ...
