Living Word Academy

Living Word Academy conducts classes covering pre-school and grades K-12.
The Academy provides formal academic instruction, which in our contemporary culture cannot be totally or adequately provided by parents alone, but which supports and complements their efforts, in a totally Christian setting and from a Spirit-filled Christian perspective.
The goal is to prepare the younger generation so they will be obedient to the Lord when they become the Church leaders of tomorrow.

Good, small school where staff genuinely care for student's spiritual well-being. Very adequate academic preparation based on how well some graduates do in college. One of our sons graduated with a BS from suny ESF in three years as the Departmental Scholar in Environmental Science, then went on to grad school. At least two others from his class at Living Word Academy also graduated from college at the top of their respective programs. So while LWA does not have the breadth of offerings that a large government school has, if you're looking for solid academic fundamentals in a decidedly and unabashed Christian setting, find out more about Living Word Academy. There are also a fair number of extracurricular activities (for a small school): music, drama, a couple interscholastic sports (boys and girls volleyball and track & field), service opportunities, a few clubs, and an outdoor program. A student can definitely thrive there. Parents who understand the times and seasons in which we live in light of Biblical prophecy and hope to set up their children to stand for Christ and for Truth in a degrading and increasingly hostile culture can find a worthwhile partner at LWA. Of course, children are ultimately going to have to make up their own minds about the paths they choose in life. A Christian education is an excellent starting point.
