Mrs. Gleason, 80, of Hazlet, died June 16, 2009, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She had resided in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge for 58 years before relocating to Hazlet 19 years ago. Mrs. Gleason was a cafeteria cook at St. Joseph School, Keyport. Prior to that, she was employed on the assembly line at American Can Co., Paterson.

Kyrillos urges diocese to keep St. Joseph open (Independent)

Sen. Joseph Kyrillos (R-13th District) is putting his support behind parents who want to keep a Catholic school operating in the Bayshore. Kyrillos Monday introduced a resolution in the Legislature, which urges the Diocese of Trenton to keep St. Joseph School in Keyport from closing its doors.
