    After reading the book, “Where the Wild Things Are,” by Maurice Sendak, students in Gladys Vega’s Stepping Stones class at St. Paul Christian Education Center in Monroe created their own “wild things.” Here are some of those creations:

    Students of St. Paul Christian Education Center in Monroe celebrate the community workers in their town each year by designing and constructing their own “Our Town.” Children dress up as community helpers and play all week in their own town, such as doctors Ericka DiMura and Emily Frias who helped the sick at St. Paul Hospital.
