The nation?s oldest college preparatory boarding school for boys (grades 7-12) diagnosed with dyslexia or similar language based learning disabilities. The technology rich curriculum focuses on language development and study skills. Remediation is offered through the reconstructive language program, a multi-sensory phonetic based Orton approach. At its Oct. 8 meeting, the Wales Town Board adopted Supervisor Rickey Venditti’s 2010 spending plan of $1.4 million as its preliminary budget. The proposed budget calls for reductions in both the tax rates of the general and highway portions of about $0.02 and $ 0.08 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, respectively. The board needs to adopt a final budget by Nov. 20.
