I was privileged to have been a kindergarten teacher in the YKOM Pre-school. I was impressed with the exceptional care given to each individual student. Foundational skills are taught in a stimulating manner forging an interest in life-long learning. The focus is on the development of the whole child. The warm and upbeat environment nurtures a child's confidence and self-esteem. In addition to an excellent academic curriculum, students are afforded opportunities to enjoy music and movement, and artistic expression. Field trips and parent-child activities provide further enrichment. As a teacher, I was very impressed that a school of such a caliber continues to be receptive to suggestions from parents and teachers alike. Teachers are encouraged to attend professional development seminars where there is an exchange of ideas, and research-based best practices are discussed. Ultimately, the childrens' smiling faces say it best.
