Blessed Sacrament Academy
School Notes Overview:
Blessed Sacrament Academy's goal is to educate children who will be able to think critically and to show, through their writing and oral speech, a rich understanding of their subjects. They are given the tools of learning so that, when they go out into the world they are able to think and reason and using the tools they learned to continue learning, which ultimately benefits society. The students are taught the virtues daily. They learn self-reliance and hard work. They are formed in the morals important to building a society in which people can thrive and human endeavor can flourish. Most importantly, the purpose and aim of Catholic education is sought by the academy as instructed in the following words from the Holy See. "Since education consists essentially in preparing man for what he must be and for what he must do here below, in order to attain the sublime end for which he was created, it is clear that there can be no true education which is not wholly directed to man's last end." An Advisory Board was formed to work with our Board of Directors to continue to build the academy through planning, fundraising, marketing, and advertising. The academy has hosted visits from priests in the diocese who have offered Mass, spoken on vocations, and participated in special feast days....
