Harrison Christian School exists to inspire students with a desire for knowledge, wisdom, and a biblical worldview evidenced by character, leadership, service, and worship. Support for our mission… Like many Christian missions, HCS depends largely upon the gifts of others to maintain its work. Sponsorship from churches, businesses, and individuals is vital. HCS would not be able to exist without the support of others who share in its lifework of providing to its students superior scholarship in an atmosphere of Christian faith. Harrison Christian School is an official Ohio-chartered school with state-certified teachers, governed by a board of advisors made up of local business leaders, parents, and educators, an interdenominational school. All Christian faiths are accepted; no specific church doctrine is taught, a school where students consistently score high on national academic achievement tests, a school with basic academic courses as well as Bible lessons, prayer, and pledges in the classroom; supplemental courses such as art, physical education, library, computer lab, and music are also taught, a school with extra-curricular activities such as basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and all-school musicals, in the Southwest Local School District, which provides busing for HCS students within the district, in compliance with healthy food guidelines, offering hot, nutritious lunches every day, one of the best educational values around.
