The Gateway community -- students, faculty, and families alike work collaboratively to help students discover and develop their individual gifts and strengths , become self-advocates, and realize their full potential. A safe, thoughtfully prepared multi-sensory environment encourages mutual trust, respect, and acceptance among those in its school community. The relationship with students enrolled at Gateway Academy is predicted upon the understanding that each child is unique and comes to us with his/her own intellectual abilities, developmental pace, and specific learning styles and needs. Considering each child as an individual, the faculty at Gateway Academy take a personal interest in the emotional, academic, and ethical growth of each child. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of a broad range of student abilities, through the use of a variety of pedagogic methodologies and class groupings, and, where appropriate, through the services provided by our learning specialists. Every attempt is made to keep each class size small to allow for more individual interaction between teacher and student. Gateway Academy offers a unique interactive academic curriculum.
