Mini University believes children learn best by doing. Through "play" experiences during the day, a child learns about the world. The teacher's role at the center is to teach children by setting up the environment to allow learning to take place. Children are given opportunities to explore the environment using a "hands on" approach. Teachers provide the materials that allow children to make discoveries. Our emphasis is on the "process" a child goes through and not the "product" or what he/she makes. We also believe fostering each child's sense of individual worth is of the utmost importance. Mini University programs promote positive relationships among all children and adults. Children who see themselves as highly valued and respected, feel secure, get along better with others and are more successful in learning and life.
