The Hillsdale Booster Club has purchased “Welcome to Hillsdale” banners that are displayed along Main Street. There are 15 remaining openings for sponsorship. Families may have their names put on one side of a banner at a cost of $100. Please contact Jeff Hoffsommer for more information. - School to dedicate gym to Hoffsomer (The Enid News & Eagle)

Hillsdale Christian School will pay tribute to its founder Oct. 4 when it dedicates the school gymnasium to James Hoffsomer. The event will be 2:30-4 p.m., with a dedication, ribbon cutting and reception. - BBQ dinner set for Sunday in Hillsdale (The Enid News & Eagle)

A barbecue dinner by donation, sponsored by Great Outdoors Club, will be held 12:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillsdale Community Building. The annual Hillsdale Christian School spring dinner and program will be held Friday in the Hillsdale gym. Dinner by donation will be served from 5:30 – 7 p.m. The menu includes BBQ pork, potatoes, salad, rolls, dessert and drink. - County residents survive 4 tornadoes (The Enid News & Eagle)

Many residents of North Enid and Enid area towns think they dodged a bullet Saturday night, when as many as four tornadoes touched down in Garfield County.
