School Reviews:

  • Recommended April 30,2013 - When my twins were ready to enter Kindergarten, I spent weeks researching our options. When we toured PLS the first time, what really struck me was how the admissions counselor appeared to know each and every child personally. As I spoke to teachers, other staff, and even several of the students, I quickly realized this was not an isolated quality...but rather an entire culture. This place was a family. The class sizes are small which allows the staff to really know the students. In-home visits are made to each child''s home a few weeks before school starts each year. This strategy not only eases the child''s transition to the next grade, but also gives the teacher valuable insights to best aid their students to succeed. Teachers at PLS recognize that not all children learn in the same way. Every effort is made to engage each child using a variety of different approaches. Communication between educators and families is highly valued, right up to the Executive Director whose door and ears are always open to parents. As we end our third year at PLS, we feel it is our second home. My children feel safe, loved and engaged. I know this because they tell me often. This school is complete in its dedication to raising the "whole child". I highly recommend PLS!*-Posted by Parent *
