School Notes Overview:

Salem Christian Day School was founded in 1970 as an outreach of Salem First Church of the Nazarene. Our purpose is to provide a safe, loving, Christian environment and school in which children can grow and thrive. We teach the "whole" child. Our goal is to develop the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical realms of each child in an age appropriate manner. In doing so, we lift up the name of Jesus. Our goal is that each child will recognize who God is, have knowledge of His unconditional love, accept His love in their lives, and learn to share God's love with others. Children are taught how to work, play, respect, and care for others and their feelings. This is accomplished through many activities that promote social interaction, such as group time, play time, dramatic play, and classroom activities. We also learn about Jesus' most important law to love one another. ...
