School Notes:

Center School has two certified reading specialists in every classroom.
We rely on ongoing diagnosis by the reading specialists in each class to determine how best to meet each child's needs rather then using one particular commercial program.
Instruction revolves around five areas crucial to reading success: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary development and comprehension
Full curriculum instruction is offered through a structured, multi-sensory approach, based on the students' needs through small group struction.
Center School's program provides structure to students by setting clear expectations and goals and teaching students the tools needed to achieve them.
The direct teaching of organizational skills helps students learn to provide structure for themsleves.

Hanover High athletic director Fran Coyle feels he’s a lucky man and the school year has not even started. Coyle has had to restructure the high school's outdoor sports program for at least the next couple of years, while construction is underway on the town’s new school.
