Our child has thrived at Greene Street Friends School in his first 3 years. With small class sizes (each with two teachers and fewer than twenty students), he has been fortunate to receive individual attention. His teachers have been very experienced, capable, and proactive to recruiting additional support when needed (reading specialist, occupational therapist). It's a kind and caring community, where the teachers and administrators show the students respect and take them seriously. I appreciate the school's focus on social and emotional learning, Quaker values, and racial and social justice, and I believe these emphases support gentler social dynamics among the students. As a parent of a black and biracial child, it's important to me that I can trust that the teachers, staff, and administration are all genuinely anti-racist and I can see that they deliberately work to create a school committed to equity and justice.

We've been at GSFS for several years, our child is thriving both academically and socially/emotionally. We're thrilled with the community, safety, care of the students, and overall "feeling" of the school. So glad to be here.
