Notre Dame School is a parochial co-educational institution established September 11, 1961 educating children from preschool through grade eight. We are staffed by lay faculty and follow the guidelines of the Erie Diocese. Notre Dame is located in Western Pennsylvania, halfway between Erie and Pittsburgh. We welcome inquiries about our school at any time, and encourage interested families to arrange for a tour. By observing first-hand the positive Catholic atmosphere present in our school, visitors have the opportunity to witness our successes. Notre Dame is a Christian community dedicated to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the propagation of our Catholic Faith. The school is committed to providing unequaled, quality education promoting the growth of the whole child.     Attendees of the Hermitage Holiday Light Parade better be on their best behavior — they will be under the watchful eye of Mercer County’s top judge. Common Pleas Court President Judge Francis J. Fornelli has been named grand marshal for Saturday’s parade in honor of his years of community service.

    SHENANGO VALLEY – The Veterans Day parade today in Farrell will form on Indiana Avenue between Idaho Street and Roemer Boulevard and will move promptly at 6:30 p.m., proceeding south on Indiana to Roemer and west on Roemer to Veterans Square behind the city building.

    June Grasso finds the ground in the wetland section of Buhl Farm park, Hermitage, alternates between squishy and hard and clay-like. Unsure what kind of ground she is about dig into, the eighth-grader at Notre Dame School in Hermitage pushes her hand shovel in hard.

    Happy Mother's Day! Oops, make that Happy Day Before Mother’s Day! On Sunday we take part in one of the best days of the year. It’s a day that we not only celebrate motherhood, we also should honor all women for everything they do for the weaker sex. (Yeah, that’s us, guys.)
