Our students come to us from all over southwestern Pennsylvania. They are a diversified group of young persons who meld their distinct personalities and independence into a wholesome school community. The Oakland School is a non-profit, co-educational high school, located in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The school draws students from Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland counties. The Oakland School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the United Private Academic Schools Association of Pennsylvania. A college preparatory curriculum emphasizes the development of reading, writing, and thinking, experimentation, and imaginative self-expression.
