Our Lady of Hungary Regional School is a Catholic School whose educational mission is an integrated ministry embracing four dimensions message, worship, community and service. The faith Community which includes parents, pastors, administration, and teachers strives to introduce the child to the "Good News of Jesus Christ" while working together to develop every child spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Our message is one of faith, hope, and love integrated into the academic areas and witnessed in our words and actions. The kindergarten program is an all day program with an academic curriculum. Daily small group instruction by certified teachers using the Early Prevention of School Failure Modality Centers concentrating on the following modality skills language, fine motor, auditory, visual, and gross motor. Daily whole group instruction is provided in Religion, Mathematics, and Language Arts/ Reading. Science and Social Studies is also a part of the curriculum on a bi - weekly basis. In addition to weekly classroom Religion instruction the students attend mass each Friday. The mathematics program provides for both whole group and small group instruction as well as hands on manipulatives and worksheet practice. The language arts/reading program emphasizes letter recognition, phonemic awareness, phonics, higher level thinking skills and a writing program. The kindergarten students receive weekly instruction in the following special areas physical education, music, computer education, and library.
