Baltimore festival sustains good thing (The Capital)

The ninth running of the Baltimore Running Festival (marathon/half marathon, marathon relay and 5K) was held last Saturday. The 1984 version of this race was my first marathon, with Satyr Hill, Loch Raven, et al; so I have a soft spot for the event.

When is 26.2 miles not enough? Well, there are marathons and then there are "ultra" marathons (races more than 26.2). Right here in our backyard we have one of the most popular ultras in the country -the JFK 50 Miler that runs from Boonsboro to Williamsport in western Maryland.
