St. Peter's School is a co-educational, multi-denominational day school located in the heart of Philadelphia's historic Society Hill neighborhood. Founded by the Episcopal Church in 1834, and independent from the church since 1969, St. Peter's School serves a diverse student body of approximately two hundred children in Preschool through Grade Eight. The mission of St. Peter's School is to help children develop a love of learning and a feeling of responsibility towards self and others, which will enable them to meet the challenges of the future. St. Peter's School is committed to excellence in education and the nurturing of the individual child. It's students come mostly from nearby city neighborhoods, but the school serves families from as far as New Jersey and Delaware.
