Veritas Academy

Veritas Academy is a classical Christian school founded in 1996 to serve the community of Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. The academy offers students in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade a rigorous curriculum that includes a thorough commitment to the first three of the seven liberal arts—grammar, dialectic and rhetoric—and the content found in a typical classical education practiced during the Middle Ages. These three liberal arts are known as the Trivium. Veritas Academy is equipping the next generations to lead and transform culture for Christ by providing a world class, distinctively classical and Christian education, resulting in joyful young people who love truth, beauty and goodness. We believe that educators must be the delegates of the parents, assisting them in the education of their children, but never usurping their God-given parental prerogative and responsibility. We believe that biblical discipline, the encouragement of an obedient child and the correction of a disobedient child is a critical and necessary part of education. Under no circumstances will the misbehavior of one child be permitted continually to hinder the education of other children.
