Wyncote Academy is a non-profit, non-sectarian private high school located on a five-acre suburban campus in Eastern Montgomery County, PA. We seek to provide an educational and developmental environment which fosters discovery, achievement, responsibility and self-esteem in all students. We are a place where students are encouraged to grow at a pace in keeping with their cognitive development, academic history and personal learning style. Our purpose is not to make students learn, but to inspire them to learn according to their unique abilities. Wyncote Academy students are part of an experiential community, dedicated to mutual academic and social growth. It is this unique approach to learning that has earned us the distinction of being one of the best private schools in Philadelphia. Learning in our school community comes about through the close relationship between students and staff. Teachers are friends and helpers, as well as givers of facts. Sometimes, students may need an extra boost to do their best.     Water polo Episcopal Academy (7-4) defeated Germantown Academy , 12-7, Tuesday. EA goals were scored by Bruce Leto (four), Chase Hamilton (three), Charlie McGregor (two), Kyle Leidheiser, Jimmy McEntee and Ricky McEntee. David Carpinello had four assists and six steals. Goalie Trey Simpson had an outstanding game in the net for the host Churchmen.

    Field Hockey: The Radnor High School field hockey squad (10-2, 8-0) were right back at it Tuesday with a 1-0 win over rival Haverford High. Junior Erica Zitch scored in the 54th minute to give Radnor its 10th straight win. Senior Hannah Dinsmore played a key role at midfield and the defensive end of the field and set up Zitch for the winning goal.

    Penn Charter goalie Teddy Foley had a rough first half against visiting Conwell-Egan, but his play through the second half and a pair of overtime periods saved the day during a 3-3 tie in a nonleague soccer game yesterday.
