For 50 years, Silveira Kindergarten & Nursery School has provided a superior kindergarten experience, offering a proven program at affordable prices. The "Fun With Learning" program is designed to encourage growth in the areas of physical, socio-emotional, and intellectual development. Silveira Kindergarten and Nursery School offers 2, 3, 4, and 5 day programs to meet the needs of children beginning at age three. Flexible and extended hours are available for all age groups. Silveira's educational philosophy makes the difference to our young students and their families. We combine order and guidance with fun, laughter and freedom of expression. We recognize and encourage each child's individuality. Our students are provided the opportunity to develop at their own speed and achieve their highest potential. The Department of Education, Early Childhood Division of the State of Rhode Island, annually reviews and approves the school's full curriculum. In addition to reading and mathematics readiness skills, our curriculum includes art, music, creative dramatics, poetry, and field trips. Free and structured play, both indoor and outdoor, round out the curriculum.
